Difference EPOE vs RBSE?
Hello fellow Rimworlders,

I'm attempting to clean up my mod list a bit and now I'm unsecure, since I have both big medical and organ/bionics mod's, EPOE and RBSE, but so far I only used EPOE.

Now I want to settle for one of these two but I lack the experience with RBSE.
I've read so far the description of both mods in the workshop and so far, the only 3 differences, which are imho somewhat marginal, I could spot, were, that in RBSE there are additional chronical diseases, you can heal scars with glitterworld medicine and it spreads it's stuff across fewer workbenches.

But are there any more differences, which I couldn't spot so far, since both seemingly in general seem to deliver the same stuff, bionics and artificial organs and stuff?

Another concern of mine is, that I use [tW] Fingers and toes for EPOE, which adds said fingers and toes and bionic replacements for these.

Is there a similar mod for RBSE out there?

And the last question for people, who have experience with both mods, which one is the superior mod, EPOE or RBSE?

Best regards

RBSE is a clone of EPOE that was created specifically to address balance/mechanic issues EPOE had in the past but has more recently fixed. They have diverged a little since then, but the overall idea of RBSE at this point from what I can tell is to be weaker, cheaper, and more punishing (part rejection), originally labeled "more balanced" but is a design philosophy that I personally don't really think works in the current version of RimWorld with archotech bionics and bionic organs being base game. I would call RBSE an obsolete mod at this point, but that's just my opinion on it, and your choice between the two is going to come down to preference. EPOE is also I think borderline obsolete at this point, with only one or two parts really standing out as being exceptionally useful. Mods like Mechalit and Archotech Expanded have sort of taken over that functionally for me.

Interestingly, EPOE was based on the Superior Crafting mod, which Ykara did help somewhat in developing including specifically adding the code to do things like repair scars, which was a feature EPOE did have for a while and I'm not sure when or why it was removed.
