How do I get more components?

Hi there I bought the game 2 days ago and I'm still somewhat lost. Finally got some mods to spice things up but in the end the only thing that I can't mine enough or trade are components.

Any mods to be able to craft them? or any way to get more ingame? I'm surely missing something

You can mine components from "Compacted Machinery" veins, recover it from fallen spacecraft pieces, recycle dead mechanoids, or buy it from any kind of trader, both orbital and caravan. Components can also be made at the Component Assembly Bench.

As you follow the research tree, there's a way to research component making, once you have that you can build a production item to craft them.

any mods that alter the amount of components the mechanoids deliver? I can't believe that huge worm-like one just gives ONE component :'(

Components are cheap to buy. You should have no problem to get enougth.

Is not the money, is the availability. Every merchant that comes by brings max 5 :-/

Now I'm reaching the point where I have to start capturing and convincing people because the tribal raids are ridiculous in size. Little Bighorn ingame.

I have had plenty of merchants bring 15-20 components. Exotic Goods traders seem to be the best.
