How to force prisoners to wear specific clothes?
My colony is located in the middle of a frozen wastelend, and i want to set one of my prisoners free, but i know the moment they get out the door they'll get hypothermia and fall over. I've tried putting warm clothes in their cell, even stripped them to try and make them wear it but they keep putting the same clothes back on. Any help?

How can they keep putting the same old clothes on? You say you stripped them, but then you left their old clothes there? Get rid of them and only leave them with something else.

They will not put on things like coats and hats, for some reason.

Maybe there is an option to change clothes restrictions for prisoners

Short answer is this.
anything in a prisoner room is considered prisoner stuff.
if you want them to wear things put them in the room. prisoners will not wear clothing worn past a point which i am unsure of ,but its like 40% if you want a reliable chain then invest in the repair bench mod. start a cotton fibre processing chain turning it into cloth. make repair kits at a machining table and set the bench to fix anything 51% or under. with that set up and setting restrictions on colonist clothing to only wear 51% or higher you will always avoid tattered apparel. i would advise in the prison a table, chairs, recreation , and hygene. i even put a fridge in their and a wardrobe to have some clothing

You can also use the caravan system to dress your prisoners. Form a caravan with just a warden, the relevant prisoner and the clothing you want to equip. Send them to the next tile, then pause immediately after leaving and go into the "gear" tab. You can then dress your prisoner and then immediately re-enter your map.

1. Strip
2. Remove his old clothes from the prison
3. Haul the new clothes in the prison.
3a: Prisoners refuse to wear tattered (sometimes) or tainted (they never wear) appearels

Grief! My prison consists of a single 3x2 cell with only lighting. It hardly ever gets used, but even then that's just for when one of my own pawns misbehaves.

Next time search before making a thread.
Who uses the search option anyways on steam.

People dislike necro posting, people dislike posting the same subject after years have passed since someone else mentioned it.

The thread will appear on google anyways if it contains the words the person searched for.
Plus the answer you gave in that thread is too complicated compared to the answers given in this thread.

So get off your high horse

Why bark at him, just because he makes sense?

Bark at him?

Cause you dont come up with a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ answer like this while acting like a ♥♥♥♥
"Please search before you post"

The answer he provided in the thread linked is just way to complicated compared to what everyone else suggested here anyways. Plus everything else i mentioned to him already, i believe you're able to read that perfectly without me quoting it.

The steam forum is already split between people bashing on necro posting and people bashing on posting about the same things without searching. And if he used google anyways then it would provide a thread with the answer as a suggestion anyways.
