I have a question though (new to dubs bad hygiene and haven't researched any of the tech yet), when colonists use those showers/tub at the same time, do they get the "embarrassed" debuff? Or is that only if they're seen using the toilet?
They tend to have small conversations about personal boundaries, privacy, etc at that state more often than not, which is just hilarious - not sure if was just random luck or the convo topics lean that in those situations.
UNLESS for some reason you forget and have a colonist restricted to a zone with no john. If they have to poop on the floor "like an animal" they get quite upset.
I'm no master at Dubs, but I really enjoy using it now. I know the trope is "cartoons don't poop" (or actors etc in certain movie types) but as gritty as Rimworld can be pooping makes sense.
Their little wooden base, the "camping latrine", above is me starting the permanent base. (started a new colony today.)
If you give them all showers and only have a few tubs they will fight over the tubs kind of and constantly bust in on each other to use them. Not sure if power shower give equivalent comfort as a tub and would stop the "fighting" over facilities. So, could make the bathroom clight bigger to just stick a tub in there instead of the showers.

Thank you for your input, much appreciated. Also going to design a bathroom similar to the first screenshot you posted.
@Jigain - Yeah, seems so. I only have one bathroom for my couple right now and they seem fine. I'm just trying to plan ahead for when I'm able to recruit more colonists who aren't paired up.
Offtopic:
Why do you allow your animals inside your base and rooms? First thing im do when im start a new colony, to create an animal area outside. And as im expanding, im always shrink their zone. Animals not allowed on the fields and inside my base. They have their own barn + they can go inside non-food storage rooms (so they can haul).
Not a great screen of it since it's so zoomed out, but they do get embarrassed about the showers, so in my public bathroom area I have the showers in their own individual stalls as well. The debuff is indeed minor and not something I worry much about until later. The public bathroom area was one of the last things I added to the colony, because colonists on that side of the map kept deciding to go use the ocean instead of going back to their rooms.
Dubs hygeine has litterboxes for small animals which includes dogs.
And horses are INSANELY FAST. So I let them haul and deal with the poop. In that game there is only 5 horses and.. well you see how many colonists. Most of the kids are on cleaning duties.
I am brainless and ifI restrict the animals I always end up starving them by accident. Haygrass is so annoying, kibblemaking is annoying, in some games I just allow dogs to eat meals and don't even worry about it.
IN MY HOUSE DOGS ARE FAMILY. ;)
Ah ok, will separate the showers/tubs as well. Thanks!
@pmutzu - How come your private bathrooms didn't work out? My private bathrooms worked well enough although I noticed they like to use the other bathrooms sometimes if those aren't registered to someone else. Once all the bathrooms are linked, they just used their own private ones. I'm going to try out public bathrooms though, mainly because it fits the symmetry of my base better than bedrooms + private baths.
