Wont clean
They go idle instead of cleaning I can have 3 people idle, everyone enabled for cleaning, but there will be trash everywhere in my base. Is there a force clean button or tool ? And if there isnt why isnt there one ive had this happen to me at least twice now on seperate games. Some of my people even went on tantrums because of the mess they wont clean

This sounds like you have things set up correctly, which leads me to believe you probably have a mod conflict (which is usually the problem for most forum posts).

There is a way to force clean; select a pawn, right click a dirty area, tell them to clean it.

You also need the cleanable area set to "home" area, which should be done automatically. However, if for some reason its not, I would manually place some home area locations and see if they start cleaning.

They will only clean in the home zone. Maybe you have disabled home zoning by default and then never applied it manually?

I've had that happen too, however there is two work arounds I've found for now.

Both of these are done in the work tab.
1) Set a guy to only clean, nothing else. No hauling, no crafting, no farming, nothing but cleaning in the work.
2) Turn on manual priorities, and then raise the priority of cleaning above everything else for a while. When you turn off manual priorities they'll go back to business as usual.

No mods purely vanilla game, thier work schedules are all defualt and everyone idles they do not clean and some tasks go undone for 2-3 days with multiple capable people
i had 2 dead bodies sit in beds for 4 days because nobody would move them yet they would do recreation in that same damn room

With this save, has it ever seen a mod and then removed? With their work, is cleaning set to 1? Not all pawns will clean. You will have to look at their traits and the stuff they won't do.

No pawns have anything disallowed by traits, has to be a bug at this point.

Right, I understood that it was vanilla, but I just wanted to eliminate that the save got contaminated at any point.

Yeah, I would make a copy of your save, and maybe post on the official forums. If nothing else, they can look at your save and fix the issue.

Have you tried manual priorities and setting cleaning to 1, or simply disabling all other options?
AlP Mar 27, 2019 @ 8:56pm
What happens if you right-click on a dirty spot? Does it give you the option to prioritize cleaning?

I can but id highly prefer not cleaning indivudual rooms one at a time. They do clean eventually but not after multiple incidents panics and fits then clean. Took roughly 3 days an many idle moments before they finally cleaned, noticing they only clean every 2-3 days its damn tedious to manually clean and not cleaning leaves you with almost game ending rampages eventually. Seems broke right now

Set one person to priority 1 clean. I usually set my fighters with less other skills to it.

Vanilla game dont have any cleaning bugs.

Check your manual priorities at the work tab, and set their cleaing to 1. (Just like others told you)
You mentioned their work shedule is all default. That usualy a crap.
They will do many idle times, and tasks will take dayys to be complete. Dont spare your time to set up a proper work shedule, we cant do it instead of you.
Check their restricted areas. Check their daily shedule (sleep, work, recreation time).

For the bodies in the beds: Thats not cleaning job, but hauling. Set a dumpling zone (allowing humanike corpses), and your hauler (if you set his work tab properly) will haul the corpses there.
