There is a way to force clean; select a pawn, right click a dirty area, tell them to clean it.
You also need the cleanable area set to "home" area, which should be done automatically. However, if for some reason its not, I would manually place some home area locations and see if they start cleaning.
Both of these are done in the work tab.
1) Set a guy to only clean, nothing else. No hauling, no crafting, no farming, nothing but cleaning in the work.
2) Turn on manual priorities, and then raise the priority of cleaning above everything else for a while. When you turn off manual priorities they'll go back to business as usual.
i had 2 dead bodies sit in beds for 4 days because nobody would move them yet they would do recreation in that same damn room
Right, I understood that it was vanilla, but I just wanted to eliminate that the save got contaminated at any point.
Yeah, I would make a copy of your save, and maybe post on the official forums. If nothing else, they can look at your save and fix the issue.
Vanilla game dont have any cleaning bugs.
Check your manual priorities at the work tab, and set their cleaing to 1. (Just like others told you)
You mentioned their work shedule is all default. That usualy a crap.
They will do many idle times, and tasks will take dayys to be complete. Dont spare your time to set up a proper work shedule, we cant do it instead of you.
Check their restricted areas. Check their daily shedule (sleep, work, recreation time).
For the bodies in the beds: Thats not cleaning job, but hauling. Set a dumpling zone (allowing humanike corpses), and your hauler (if you set his work tab properly) will haul the corpses there.
