Destroyed Jaw in Animals
So in two consecutive games (short one the first time around), I have had animals with destroyed Jaws. In the first game i put it down bc it was a tough winter and lots of things were happening. I would however like to know if my boar is useless now, if it can feed itself/haul/rescue/etc. I noticed that it gave him a 0% manipulation stat but can't find what this affects in animals. Thanks again

I think 0% manipulation means that it wont be able to move objects (if trained for it).
Also, you can replace its jaw with an artificial one (although I cant remenber if this feature is from a mod or vanilla, lmao).

What you are referring to Ninnetyer is "A Dog Said..."
That mod allows you to add prosthetics and bionics to animals.

Edit: As for finding out what manipulation does. It can be neatly found on the Rimworld wiki

None of those apply to Animals though, and there is no eating stat, so Does it do absolutely nothing negative?

Not in terms of manipulation no. Manipulation doesn't matter much for animals.
However many other vitals do such as eating, moving, breathing, conciousness etc. for combat mostly.

Animals trained to haul with 0 manip only haul 1 item, no matter how big or small. 1 yayo or 1 stone chunk.

Manipulation affects melee and ability to use bite attack, which is usually strongest for animals.

Incorrect.
Melee hit chance is factored by melee skill, conciousness and sight.
As of update A16 manipulation no longer affects melee hit chance.

Dodge chance is factored by melee skill, moving and sight.

Manipulation currently does nothing for melee combat, only ranged combat.
Manipulation has a 70% importance in shooting.

I decided to compare a brand new boar and the one without the jaw and it appears like it does indeed affect melee dps, eating speed, and weight capacity for boars at least: https://imgur.com/a/rMWci3G

Your data was completely wrong. @ignisru already show that you were wrong about manipulation&melee, but even with shooting it's work differently.

Manipulation don't buff shooting at all - it's effect capped on 100%. So it can only penalize accuracy if your manipulation below 100% (or counter penalty from pain if your manipulation is more then 100%.
