You can also use psychoid tea.
I make a rehab center in my colony, it can house two colonists at a time. It's basically a sealed off, beautiful area in my colony, with three rooms (two bedrooms and a dining/rec area.)
It has excellent or better marble furniture, royal beds, sculptures, TV, armchairs, and chess, poker, and horseshoes. For food they get nutrient paste, so the room never has to be opened.
Colonists who get addictions have their schedule set to full recreation, are checked for any drugs they are carrying (and drop them,) and are thrown into this room to wait out their addiction (to prevent harm to themselves and others,) and it's walled off behind them.
My colonists in rehab never have mental breaks, even though I put them there to protect against that. They are luxuriously comfortable in beautiful surroundings. Even the -30* withdrawal doesn't drop their mood enough for a break.
It's an effective way to deal with addictions that I've been using over my past few games.
Tbh, I think psychite addiction is just unreasonable in this game. It takes forever to get rid of.
