It should work fairly easily this way: put a prisoner bed in the new prison cell, uninstall the assigned prisoner bed of the prisoner you want to move (or delete it if it's a sleeping spot on the ground,) then order a pawn to capture the now bed-less prisoner again.
This is from memory, but I'm pretty sure this works.
Your best bet is to mark the beds you want to move them to as prison beds, then UN-mark the beds in the room your prisoners are currently in, then order your warden(s) to "Take to cell" or whatever on the prisoners you want to separate.
What part of reinstalling a bed and clicking the "take prisoner to bed" command is "annoying?" You can skip the second part, your colonists will do it automatically eventually.
Something I discovered today: prison hospitals don't count as prison cells. Once the prisoner recovers, they won't sleep in the bed anymore because it's not a cell. Right-clicking on said prisoner gets the "escort prisoner to cell" as a dialog choice.
Gold, just pure gold.
"too long" <--- Please define.
Topics like this always confuse the heck out of me.
Having to do a bit of manual microing between raids is annoying?
I mean if it was a task you had to do often? Sure. That would be annoying. One time tasks that take two seconds of microing? Shouldn't be a hassle. You're basically just sitting around with your thumb up your *** anyways between raids.
Also if some are injured and some are not, you can stop that Room A from being a prison, make all beds colonist beds. Now all of the prisoners are stuck in Room A, they will not escape for a couple days. Now that Room A is no longer a prison you can order your pawns to move those you want to Room B, now that they are in Room B, make Room A beds prisoner again.
Hope that helps.
Man, you are the G O A T !!!
