Oh come on steel plate armor should count as royal clothing!
It's a knight's suit of armor for crying out loud, why does steel plate armor not count?

Also why doesn't we have any full plate steel helmets in the base game yet?
Simple steel helmet looks so stupid with the steel plate armor.

Because plate armour wasn't worn just by knights, it was most commonly worn by soldiers.

you are wrong.
plate armor WAS a noble armor

go ask a soldier to trade his bullet proof vest for a knight armor, he would ask you if you are crazy.

same here, the nobles would see the plate armor as an antiquated piece of decoation, not as something he would want to wear in battle.
yes, it is better than nothing, but he still won't like it

A full suit of armor at medieval time could go for as much as a small farm was worth.

and in the far future, there is only w, wait, and in the far future, the armor itself is best suited for a museum, modern warriors wear power armor

Medieval armor is still expensive as hell even now days.
I would know because i own a set.

Also a good suit of harden knight armor would actually be bulletproof against most low caliber guns.

While expensive, "field plate" was far less expensive than "full plate" armor. Field plate protects comparably well BUT is far heavier and more cumbersome.

Full plate, yes, would require the resources of nobility or a very wealthy burgher, but field plate was obtainable by many.

True, but we are not talking about a field plate suit.
We are talking about a full set, covering everything up from toe to neck plate suit, as it is stated in the description on the in game armor.

I think it would be a good idea if it counts as royal clothing. But think it would be best for the first couple of ranks because it is easy to make.

Some of the royal soldiers come in with silver plate, so maybe 'noble' plate should be either plasteel or silver?

Seriously, why don't we have a full helm yet? A greathelm, an armet, anything other than the simple helmet.

Yes, full plate started out as thing only nobles could afford.
But then it was implemented onto personal guards, then later on was widely used by both mounted and foot soldiers.

Armor is armor, not fancy comfortable clothing. Just have them throw on armor when they have to fight or do something else to counteract the malus.

Full plate remained extremely expensive and generally only for nobility right up until early firearms started to render it obsolete.

I think you and Bozobub are confusing lower quality armors that were visually similar to plate as being "full plate" when in reality they had far less coverage, weren't custom made for the wearer, and tended to be made out of iron rather than quality steel.

What almost everyone fail to realize (mostly because every game devloper fail to mention it) is that most armors are padded under it or people are wearing padded suits (basically a pillow suit) under it, which makes it way more comfortable to wear, and protects the wearer against blunt hits.

When you get hit without anything under it then you get the whole armor pushed against you like a piston.

Wearing a knight armor without anything under it Can actually damage you by the weight of the corners alone.

Yea, should be fine for Knights to wear but nothing higher than that.

Well, since anybody can throw on anybody else's armor, this plate armor isnt custom full plate either :-3

By the lil pic for it, speed to make and relative value? Is probably a Banded Mail armor.

Edit: Also, why would you want to have your pawn wear it full time. That speed hit.... It would also be uncomfortable. Naturally a ruffled shirt is nicer to wear :-)

Knighthood doesnt have to mean soldier. Looking at you, Sir Paul Mcarthy
