plate armor WAS a noble armor
go ask a soldier to trade his bullet proof vest for a knight armor, he would ask you if you are crazy.
same here, the nobles would see the plate armor as an antiquated piece of decoation, not as something he would want to wear in battle.
yes, it is better than nothing, but he still won't like it
I would know because i own a set.
Also a good suit of harden knight armor would actually be bulletproof against most low caliber guns.
Full plate, yes, would require the resources of nobility or a very wealthy burgher, but field plate was obtainable by many.
We are talking about a full set, covering everything up from toe to neck plate suit, as it is stated in the description on the in game armor.
Seriously, why don't we have a full helm yet? A greathelm, an armet, anything other than the simple helmet.
But then it was implemented onto personal guards, then later on was widely used by both mounted and foot soldiers.
I already have 50 password slips which i am mixing up and i don't want to create even more.
Full plate remained extremely expensive and generally only for nobility right up until early firearms started to render it obsolete.
I think you and Bozobub are confusing lower quality armors that were visually similar to plate as being "full plate" when in reality they had far less coverage, weren't custom made for the wearer, and tended to be made out of iron rather than quality steel.
When you get hit without anything under it then you get the whole armor pushed against you like a piston.
Wearing a knight armor without anything under it Can actually damage you by the weight of the corners alone.
Yea, should be fine for Knights to wear but nothing higher than that.
By the lil pic for it, speed to make and relative value? Is probably a Banded Mail armor.
Edit: Also, why would you want to have your pawn wear it full time. That speed hit.... It would also be uncomfortable. Naturally a ruffled shirt is nicer to wear :-)
Knighthood doesnt have to mean soldier. Looking at you, Sir Paul Mcarthy
