Please explain ablout Esquire-specific apparel !!!
So I have a debuff that sounds: Want Esquire specific apparel -7
In the description it says:
- Top Hat
-Any Power Armor
-Any Psycaster apparel
BUT:
I wear a crown, which i bought for 2000 silver (Adamantium coronet) - and it is not form any mod, it is from Royalty DLC
I wear a psyfocus vest, also from a Royalty DLC, I've got it from quest. Why doesn"t it count as a Psycaster apparel?
What should i do to remove debuff? Is it bug, or smth?
And an addition would you be so kind to give me a hint how to determine Power Armor, so I wouldn't buy smth very expensive but not working!
TY in advance!!!

he want's either a tophead, a power armor helmet or a psycaster helmet (i think there was one).
what he does not want (yet) is a crown^^

edit: power armor is Recon, Marine and cataphracts, if you give him a recon armor, he is more than happy until the end of the game (no matter how high you promote him)

i can imagin this might change at some point, but for now, its enough

Give him a ruffle shirt

Nobles are picky. Lower classes only want tophats so you should buy or craft them one. Eventually they'll move to coronet, so don't ditch the one you have.

In answer to your other question: The power armors are, in order of weakest to strongest, Recon Armor/Helmet, Marine Armor/Helmet, and Cataphract Armor/Helmet. Nobles don't appear to care about the tier of power armor regardless of their rank either.

But why doesn't Eltex robe count as psycaster apparel? My acolyte is wearing one, yet still complains about not having any psycaster apparel.

Probably because you are missing an Eltex Shirt or Formal Shirt.

There's a chart here, if it helps: https://rimworldwiki.com/wiki/Titles#List_of_titles

Edit: On second thoughy, there's a solid chance this may not be up-to-date because it doesn't mention power armour directly, and searching for that links to Marine Armor - and even though it mentions Grenadier Armor, it doesn't seem to link to Phoenix Armor.
So my *guess* would be that we're looking for variants of Cataphract Armor (because Royalty), but alas I can't be more helpful with this one.

Thanks, guys.
So, "psycaster apparel" refers to the whole set, and not just one item? Darn, I wouldn't have considered this myself.

Some things have changed since this thread was originally made. Now, regular power armor doesn't count for royals. Instead, they want Prestige armor, which is Recon, Marine, or Cataphract armor that you can buy (not craft) that has some psy bonuses.

Ah, thanks! Somehow I entirely missed that this was a necro-thread.
