i was using 7 horses for a uranium node, and i think i was inly able to carry 650 out of 750 uran with me, and the way back was way slower because of the weight (and because of the high amount of animals, there might be a good chance for an ambush).
plasteel is another one that needs more weight, components to.... i didn't scan for silver yet, but i think that might be easy to carry, to
My pawns have 18-20 intellect, both of them combined find about 2-3 of them daily.
I checked one of my older gold spots and that was found 7 days ago, and with it there are 10 more spots scattered around which have been found during those 7 days.
The long range one can find over 2000 steel which is very nice but it takes several trips to bring it all back unless you have an army of pack animals.
You can however just trade for the steel with gold, and thats what is so op about them.
i don't think it is hard to get enough pack animals for it.
idk. i think 1 out of 5 or 6, but i have an angry raider outpost near my colony, that might be a problem, to.
Once, and 3 sites out of twenty had a danger of chicken, 1 raider and a 2 raider camp with 2 turrets.
Basically not an issue at all.
Accumulating currency in this game has never been a problem, surely? Almost everyone buys drugs, and you can make huge quantities of reefers and tea if you're scared of yayo. Not to mention cloth, devilstrand, wool, and human leather; all of which have multiple buyers and you can amass in huge quantities.
I'm not saying the quantity is fair or not, but rather that the economic aspect of it I think is rather irrelevant. Maintaining a scanner, pack animals, and non-essential miners (or multiple drop pods for that matter); surely is the sign that money is no longer an issue regardless of whether you're carrying limestone or gold.
