Deep ground scanner Bug?!
First i play vanilla, its not working ... they sit on that thing for days and nothing happens... i can remember, that there was some overlay, when they found some deep res points.
Have anyone the same bug as me, or maybe it is a feature and my chunk have no deep res xD...
ah i forgot to write i play with royal dlc.

In addition to the drill, you will need the deep scanner in order to actually locate anything. Assuming you have the scanner, and it is powered on, just select it, and you should see some highlighted clusters of cells around. Place the drill over one of those clusters and have them drill. If the drill isn't over a highlighted cluster, then the drill will mine nothing. Lastly, you don't need the scanner on for the drill to work. The drill just needs to be over a deposit either by accident, or by using the scanner to locate it, but the scanner doesn't have to be running once you find the a deposit to mine.

Hmm, I'm going to guess at a mod conflict here. I know that when I run mods that add new minable materials, they generally do not show up in the scanner. I think it will only find vanilla materials (I could be wrong about that though).

Maybe i should play with some mods that fix that Problem xD ^^ but at the moment i play only core and royal :)

i have same bug/ I know about 1.11 change of the scanner. But none of my pawns able to work on it. It just stands outside my base an eats energy. Idk what to with it.

problem solved. it was Roof that blocked mu scanner work. No roof - no problemo.

I have a scanner, powered and unroofed, but see no deposits when clicked on. in 1.1 will mining deposits "appear" over time? or is something wrong? I am not running mods.

My research pawns "use" the scanner from time to time, but I still see no deposits on the whole map. Do I wait for one to eventually appear? Is this normal?

Found a "progress to guaranteed find" % in the description box of the scanner when clicked on. So It seems it IS a waiting game.
