10 days now and mech cluster quest has not been finished? (Edit: Solution found...)
So I accepted a quest to distract the machines while some lord purges them on his side.[i.imgur.com] Only it's been seven or so days now since I killed off the last machine. Yet the quest has not finished yet. I've still got the two supplied fighters to help deal with it.

I'm guessing this is a bug. Will this impact my game at all or do I essentially just have 2 free Op fighters now? I'm worried if this will prevent me from getting more quests.

Well for anyone else who has issues with quests not completing here's how you sort it out.

Activate development mode in the options menu.
Go to the Quest menu and find the one that is not completing.
Find the three "..." next to "Send Signal."
And select one of the available options. Maybe it's node completed or something else, I'm not sure. Just make sure you have a backup save in case you click the wrong option.

My god you just saved my ass thanks I just had this happen and was just lost as to what was going on.

Never mind just as I posted this the fighters left because they spent too much time with me. Quest still has not completed though...

Did you make sure you eliminated EVERYTHING? Turrets, mortars, fabrication facility, mechs, etc? Sometimes, there are things hidden that I've noticed. Other than that, sounds like a bug. Are you running mods alongside Royalty?

Could also be a bad Royalty install. I suggest trying to verify your game cache.

Definitely running mods. I was save scumming hard and even called in some imperial troops to help kill it. Wonder if those two might be the culprit. But it could be a mod, I 'unno. I've searched the map for any little buggers left behind but there's nothing.

:/

All I can suggest is to see if anything shows in the error logs. If not, try verifying the game cache to see if that helps.

A note, because this is the top result for this quest on Google.
I had this happen, used the dev mode and killed the quest.
The Mechaniloids had dropped some structures on the map and even though the quest had ended they were still not claimable.
What had happened was that they'd dropped a bunch of units and one had landed inside a mountain and was not visible. I needed to mine into the mountain, find the trapped unit, killed it, and then the structures could be claimed.

I think this was the root cause of the quest failing to complete so if anyone in the future has this issue, try looking inside some nearby mountains for the final enemy units before you try using dev mode to remove the quest.
this thread just saved my ass cause im based in a location that my pawns CANT TRAVEL OUT OF and i just couldnt get to it.
