How do I get the imperial plasma swords and the likes?

Some hours in and I can't seem to find how I get these sentient swords. Anyone have a clue?

I found a linksword in old ruin cryosleep on map.

and you can buy them from the empire. i think every one of their outpost has a single link weapon, they start with a unique name (they are intelligent after all) befor 'link weponname'.
you need to be knight/dame befor beeing able to trade with them though, and those weapons are kind of expansive.
also, i think the plasma swords are unbalanced weak right now.
they do less damage than the monoblades while beeing slower than the monoblade with way less armor penetration, i might be wrong and the fire element of the weapon (there is one, right?) outbalance both the faster speed and higher damage and speed of the monoblade, but on paper it doesn't look like it

A quick update I actually found one randomly in a wandering caravan animals backpack. You know the ones that just wander into your map with no humans? Yeah those. Was a plasma sword too.
