Monument Questions

I tried searching on monuments but didn't see anything in the results that told me much.

My first question is about a quest I got for building a monument. It's really early in the game.
But HOW do I build a monument? I looked in the help in game and there is nothing about how to build one or even the subject I'm either blind or somehow I'm not supposed to see it yet?

Please advise :)

When I had that quest, it dropped in a blueprint Item that I needed to select & then place in my world.
Not knowing anything much about it, other than that it was 3x3 and couldn't be moved after the location had been selected, I set the location as the bottom corner of the map.

Then, one of my pawns went over and completed the construction like a regular building/walls job.
Quest complete!

So if you're not seeing what to do, try checking which items are in+around your base - see if there's anything new.

ooooh thank you! I have not accepted the quest yet because I wanted to make sure I got the stuff to do it . I really appreciate you taking the time to answer this question. it does not explain what will happen like you did. much appreciated
