royal beds
royal pain to make, for some reason royal beds take about 4200 work to make. a galleon from boats takes just over 3000. is there a way I can decrease the work needed for a royal bed?

Don't build them out of stone. Base work to make is only 834 for a royal bed, making them out of wood is only 584 work. Sounds like you are building them out of sandstone or jade, sandstone or the other stone blocks is a terrible idea because it also reduces rest effectiveness, jade does not reduce rest effectiveness but still takes a very long time, but that's the cost of making them out of the best material. Use bionic/archotech arms and skilled/traited workers to increase construction speed.

Sure. make a normal bed.
It's called a Royal bed **because** it is a complex masterpiece of Art. It is **supposed** to take a long time to make.

P.s.
Just how long does it take to make that Galleon ship of yours, when you are carving it out of a solid block of Granite?

I used to make them out of marble, as I had spare of it and it gave more beauty, now I make it out of jade as I have a good enough economy to fund it.
I still find it wierd that a huge sailing ships is easier to make than a bed...
I dont have bionics, its a medieval play trough (hence a Galleon)

I think it's more bizarre that your colonists can build a Galleon in under 3000 seconds.

It's the other way around actually, like Astasia said
