Sea ice, not really. The pawn would just freeze to death.
Extreme desert mmmaaybe? If you can cut down enough cactuses to make a passive cooler and not die of heatstroke.
Sounds brutal
Sea ice is impossible. You just freeze to death far too fast and there's literally nothing to make heat out of.
Sea ice has completely no materials, and you start without anything as well. Extreme desert is possible
Sea ice can have temperatures above 0°C. But you have no ressources to build research and other stuff.
At sea of ice you can buy resources from traders.
It is possible to survive there, buy reeeeaaallly tough.

In the first 3-4 ingame hours? With nothing to sell or pay with?

Raids and wildlife will give you some resources.
But yes. No chance to survive without starting money bag. ;)

There's literally no wildlife on sea ice, and raids are mostly mechanoid when the temperature is too low.
tried extreme desert. heatstrokes get me everytime. not enough wood around to sustain any form of cooling.

sea ice seems unlikely. there are very little resources around and I tried tundra a few times. before a week is over frostbite kicks in. you need someone with high resistance to cold weather

currently have a sort of succesful set up on tundra because the guy I started with has a comf. temp. from -55 - 38. winter is a ♥♥♥♥♥ and killed 3 colonists that joined me with frostbite. the guy I started with however has yet to show any signs of frostbite

Tundra is not too bad if you make sure you have good mining skill on your naked brutatily starter. Mine steel right away and build an 8x5 building around a thermal vent. Keep the door open and 1 roof tile open and you will maintain a comfortable temp. A good melee skill is also helpful because that first visitor with a bit to trade that shows up really early... is wearing a parka :)

Go with Cannibal as well and it becomes much easier.

Exactly this. More than doable, there are youtube series on it (Check out Pete Complete).
There is a nice fire and ice playthrough series on youtube. Sorry for having no link for you. Just search for fire and ice.

It is possible. As when all colonists die you can still keep the game going and just wait for a wanderer to join. Also the man in black event should trigger eventually when times get really tough when you do get your colony officially named and your faction name made. So even if after you have already got your faction up properly and everyone dies that event should still trigger and spawn in someone with good gear which might still be able to save those that were downed. You can then sell the high tech gear for money and trade for essentials instead. Or keep the gear and use it to reduce your colonist numbers as you won't need as many to survive when you got better equipment. Going out on world map to random events and etc aswell.
