Click the artillery and check which shells it's assigned to use. You are clearly using mods, you might be trying to load the ammo from one mod into an artillery from a different mod.

The mortar may have the shell type banned

Oh and also while IDK what the mod is, 90mm is flak ammo AFAIK, germans used 81mm mortats in ww2 so if u have 81 mm shells use that instead

make sure your shells are stockpiled reasonably close (max 6 blocks) to your mortar/artillery

if you're using combat extended you should probably have access to the ammo box which you can place right next to a mortar and store shells

make sure the setting for the shell stockpile is set to critical so your colonists prioritize storing it there

hope this helped

I saw in another thread that pawns can't load mortars when the ammo is stored outside of their allowed area (even when drafted) - I know you're not using vanilla mortars, but maybe you're having the same problem?

Combat Extended mortars use 81mm shells, the 90mm ones are for a flak cannon.

yeah the mortars work fine, im talking about the artillery piece itself, my mortars work fine but not the actual big artillery

Combat Extended doesn't have artillery. See my first reply in this thread.

Are you using vanilla security expanded?
