I know I played with a mod that added a handful of extra weapons a while back and a flamethrower was among what was added. It was rapid fire and semi-aoe starting fires anywhere the 'bullets' landed but I cannot remember the name of the mod (and for all I know it's not compatible with V1 or B19).

Considering how one of my earliest posts on these forums was talking about how I liked to shoot bears with mortars:

I would say that my mental state hasn't changed much.
Edit: Just realized you were the first one to post on that thread too. Has it really been two years?
I could see it being a super short range (3-4 tile range) but would be an AOE damage dealer, preferrably in a cone. Aim time and reload time would be about equivalent to a revolver, but like all ranged weapons (save for the pila) it would get interrupted melee attacks. Basically you would need to body block your flamethrower with a melee user of your own but it would keep the bugs/raiders at bay. Thats how I would implement it if I could actually code stuff.
That seems almost like an Incendiary launcher getting rekinned and buffing the aim and reloading times. It's a start but it's not exactly what I am looking for.
I'm active on a few steam boards but this is definitely the one I am most active on. I like the community here.
