The console will allow you to communicate with the ship and the beacon will be used as the exchange site. This becomes a bit of a hassle in that the beacon reqs no roof to work properly but most of the things you would normally trade would decay w/o one now.
He is asking about how/why the alerts pop up.
Though, I can confirm I do get notifications of them arriving in B19. My assumption is either 1) you arent noticing them, 2) you are lacking power at convenient times as stated above [though this seems too coincidental to be the case], or 3) as with everything else, there is a mod donking things up.
Just to confirm, since I know you have a comms console, do you have any beacons? Things may get wonky if you have the table but no beacon.
Also, are you playing on large map size? The AI gets broken/buggy on the bigger sizes.
Makes more sense to have the thing on of course.
I do have a beacon up and powered, and I don't know actually re: map size; it's whatever default is.
So I guess 1) power on comms, and 2) try to pay attention more. I think in B18 you'd get an envelope drop so unless that changed I doubt it's a noticing issue, but thanks for the ideas folks!
