I think* you can also do a trade request mission to get them. The events that say "X faction wants Y item, they will give you Z in return."
1) after you research either any of the spacer tech/ AI core research, you can pay 1200 silver to any ally faction for the location.
2) the ally faction gives 1 in the form of item stash quest.
3) the ally faction gives 1 from destroy outpost quest.
I usually get one after I destroy my second physic ship.
Is that the change with B19 now? Have not been paying a lot of attention for AI core yet.
It is. Its a lot more complicated to get a core now. You actually have to 'try' to win. I both like it and am annoyed by it. I typically avoid going out raiding and what not. However, caravans to trade are MUCH easier now, so its not too bad.
If you havent tried the new caravan mechanics, definitely do it.
Haven’t seen any drop from crashed ships or traders. I mainly trade for as much advance components and plasteel.
Caravan is MUCH easier now to work with than before due to some restriction removed from animals.
Depending on your chosen difficulty, it can be a massive pain or just another thing to do.
I am really enjoying the changes made with the caravans. I caravan more than ever now. Actually I like all the changes so far.....well except getting ready to launch. WOW
