Food calculator mod?
I'm trying to figure out how many meals I can create from the food items I have in storage.

The reason is I am trying to project how long my stores will last so I can figure out how to prioritize planting new crops, tending to blights, raising & butchering animals, etc.

Ideally I would like a mod that will tell me how many of each type of meal can be created with my stores.

And, ideally it would also give a projection of how long those meals will last my current colonists.

Does anyone know of such a mod?

I don't know of any mods for it, but for simple meals you can just look at the ingredients you have and drop the last number to get the meals. IE, if you have 1427 ingredients, then 142 simple meals can be made. As for seeing how long they'll last, divide them by 2, and then divide that by the amount of colonists you have.

Ok, thank you.

There's a food calculator spreadsheet out there. (Check the wiki, then follow up with the updated link from the Ludeon forum page. That'll get you one you can download and use offline, if you prefer.)

Keep in mind that the rate at which your colonist can make meals matters, too. So, while they're being eaten, they're being produced. Getting some extra cookers up and running with some more pawns assigned to them will help keep you ahead of the curve.

There's a mod that allows you to cook 4 meals in the time it takes to cook 3, oh and uses the same amount of ingredients as 4. Feed the people I think it's called.

Anyway I find that much more useful and reasonably balanced so you don't need multiple cookers.
