What really drives me nuts is the emu is harder to tame than the cassowary LMAO
All of that said, have you seen a very, very angry turkey? They are not something anyone who is unarmed should take lightly. While its highly doubtful they could kill any healthy adult, they can still send you to the hospital.
Furthermore the smaller the target the harder it is to hit.
You can easly just get somoene to melee attack the turkey to keep it still and have you guy shoot it then.
Honestly tho anything and everything is a threat. A horde of man hunting rabbits is most likely one of the deadlier raids you'll face given how hard they are to hit.

The documentary "my life as a turkey" goes over the account of one such attack where a turkey had managed to actually knock over the narrator and landed several major injuries on said person, so no they aren't a laughing stock, even though these videos are funny.
Did your shooter get at least 3 shots off and miss all of them? That is just bad luck and it comes with the game.
If the mad turkey came so fast that he only had 2 shots, maybe it is an unreasonable way to lose a pawn.
Call it a draw? They ended up exactly where they started.
