Randy WTF
23 days and still no raids. Any advice how to deal with situation? I am afraid randy will throw everything he got at me soon. I build one main building with embasures from a mod (wall you can shoot true). I build wooden walls all around map edges to defend against walkers. Now I am starting to make bunker defense with electric fence system from a mod as outer defense layer. I got 4 guns which I mostly traded for and started with, then two guys/girls with a bow. My colony wealth is 48k and I got 6 colonists. What should I do? Should I be worried too much?

I had this issue but it was with cassandra extreme, now I started a new game and it seems fine

For your base you should make a kill box where all the enemies will attack from (simple thing, leave a door to go outside open so enemies are lured to go here) and place turrets, and traps that enemies will have to walk on before the killbox

I always loved to make trap lines near corners and watch those pesky raiders rush into them. Thank you for your comment.

Also Tribals are a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ joke in this game if you have guns, that's why I turned them off and got futuristic faction, now my raids are just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ monsters with plasma riffles and I keep getting ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up if I don't have a kill box
Wait a minute, picked Randy on Rough and haven't gotten any raids either... maybe Randy is broken in release? What's going on? It's been about 10 days in my case

I think its coded in the game that your very first raid is always very easy. Always just 1 person who can only do melee.

I usually play randy on rough, he's not broken, he gave me raids yesterday/today.

But he can go I think one game pre 1.0 he went a year with no raids on me. Just constant transport pod crashs, item drop pods. It was so much I couldn't keep up with all the people to capture and feed.

Instead of raids I think he kept picking mad animal, but it was always something easy.


Some years he can be ultra gentle and the next back to back raids, siege, toxic fallout, ect. I actually rage quit once when he did a toxic fallout right after we had a long one.

I think Randy likes my colony. 35 days and still no major threats. Only threats I got were two exploded boomalopes outside of my palisades. They could have burned defenses and let walkers in, but every time as soon as fire got to my palisades, it started raining.

Ok finally randy decided to roast me. Zombies attacked megasloths in region which went agro. My colonists are now dealing with cold snap, eclipse, mental breaks and attacking megasloths. Now I dont know which brainless colonist to solve first. I got them split into two groups before all this. Rescue party and main colony. So I have to play two maps at once. Wish me luck.

I also forgot my palisade is broken. Rendy didnt rain this time. So zombies just pour in. Cuz there is cold snap I cant do anything to fix it. Those wimps are freezing all the time. I wish colonists were more disposable in this game.

But there is one positive think. Raiders were killed by zombies before they could get true my defenses. But I will have to fortify my walls with stone to defend against fire.

And solar flare... So my colonists are freezing to death in cold snap without electricity. Guess I will have to make fire to warm them up. I hope my house wont catch on it.

It is fun that way. Hey if game would be too easy you would not have any reason to punish your colonists!
