Is the developer right-wing/trumpist?
It's just an honest question.

It might but shouldn't spark responses about 'why do you care', but that's not helpful for a long discussion. I do. You can or not.

I read about the one controversy from Rock, Paper Scissors, and currently draw no conclusions from that, this isn't about that.

Hints of a possible issue:

- doing an interview for Breitbart

- Working on Bioshock: Infinite, the Ayn Rand game.

That needs a little explanation. I own that game but haven't played it much to know whether it's more of an artistic game with Ayn Rand as a background, or advocates for her.

I'm fine with the former, not the latter. So alarm bells go off when I see Ayn Rand-themed for the potential of promoting it.

I am reassured by google not providing a quick clear answer, as it did for another one-man game maker who I plan not to buy, as he is militantly right-wing.

Not looking for a political argument, just information.

It looks like a very interesting game at first glance and I'm deciding whether to look more.

You Americans literally voted between a rape scandal leader who's husband was an active rapist and an orange celebrity apprentice, the elites of the world are laughing at you.

Can't you guys see you're being made a fool of ? It's literally a running joke between the real world leaders. Look at the way Trump drinks water and tell me you're not being laughed at. I suppose you can't see it with all the flouride they dump in your water.
Keep your politics out of my warcrime simulator, thank you very much.

It probably is. Say, are there moderators here? OP, if he's serious, is actually a bigot.

You stole my profile back ground. You will pay for this by being forced to watch a 20 minute compilation on the way Trump drinks water.

I'm not sure that Bioshock had much to say in the vein of what Ayn Rand advocated and I bet that the interview with Breitbart was likely more about someone engaging in promotional work. I couldn't imagine him turning down an interview with most any publication, you know?

Whether someone likes it or not, Breitbart is read by millions...its in the developer's best interest to have the possibility of that many eyes on a piece about this product.

Because you're wrong in your first statement, I went and googled for a quick example article to educate you:

https://www.giantbomb.com/profile/ubik/blog/bioshocks-critique-of-ayn-rand-objectivism/80374/

And I learned something also - it appears B:I was a strong criticism of Rand, which I'm very glad to hear and glad I supported the game buying it.

As for the Breitbart interview, they don't do game reviews, they do right-wing politics and I have to suspect the angle was 'victim of gender issue attacks'.

Generally, I'm on the side of the pro-equality and pretty much always against Breitbart, but I raised it as a red flag, not something I've drawn conclusions about him from.

No, I think you're the one who can leave.

But you can't read, so you will no doubt continue to post more garbage.

Voting is very important, but you sound rather ignorant with some of the hyperbole.

It's an important power too many take for granted. And once it's gone, it is never coming back in any meaningful form (it's already greatly compromised by money in elections).

I voted for Bernie in the primaries. Too bad more didn't. Hopefully more vote Nov 6.

But as I said, this isn't to argue about politics.

It was for a simple question not one word has been posted yet to answer.

You'd be better off asking on the Ludeon forums, as these are the RimWorld forums not the Tynan Sylvester forums.

Since OP seems to enjoy talking about things only remotely related to RimWorld on the RimWorld forums, does anyone want to take pot shots at Tynan's favorite color? I absolutely REFUSE to purchase this game if it's orange or yellow. Such a crime against my deeply personal sense of morality is unacceptable.

Absolutely he's a right-winger. He wears cowboy boots and drives a Chevy pickup truck. Oh, I heard that 36 years ago he tore the tag off of a mattress, and I'm pretty sure he eats red meat and flushes the toilet EVERY time he uses it.

You should definitely avoid this game.

Damn, wish I could get a refund. I'd never have supported someone that was mentally unstable enough to drive a Chevy.

OP's location is listed as California...:steammocking:

OP owns 2,000 games...I wonder if he/she checked the political affiliation of the developers of all those games before getting them? Doubt it.

OP is here to pretend to be 'geniune', but is just trying to create a s h i t storm.

OP is the equivalent of the dude that mailed all those fake pipe bombs.

Clearly Rimworld is an elaborate metaphor for a world in which the bleeding heart, Hilary worshipping liberals got their way. That's probably why the future is post apocalyptic, since the economy collapsed under the weight of socialized medicine, shortly followed by the U.N., and the economy of every nation who uses American national debt as collateral on their own finances. Notably, colonists often are given substandard medical care, due to the high economic demands of a comprehensive system which offers such services.

Furthermore, the game is quick to endorse the values of affirmitive action, inclusion, and acceptance. Building walls is a largely fruitless measure, and it is far more effective and less costly to institute a heavily militarized border patrol which kills or captures intruders, holding survivors as prisoners without due process. This is remarkably similar to the system as was instituted by the Clinton administration under the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996.

And best of all, none of you even know whether or not I'm taking the piss. Vote for Bush!
