Manufactured Stone Blocks BUG
Version: .18.1722

I inadvertantly had used a dumping pile as a storage area for blocks and stone chunks. They would use the stone chunks to make the blocks and deposit the blocks back.

Now, I have thousands of varying different blocks that I can't use even after trying to make a new stockpile, deleting the dump, and it's quite frustrating to not be able to figure out how to get them usable again.

It's actually caused such a huge upset in the colony because I was removing wooden walls and replacing with marble that I've lost food supply because the job didn't get complete.

There's no difference between a normal stockpile and a dumping stockpile other than their default filters. The stone blocks don't even need to be in a stockpile to be usable for construction. You said you are making marble walls, make sure you actually have enough marble and aren't looking at limestone or something. Or they could just have their work priorities set in a way that is causing them to ignore the construction jobs to do something else. Try selecting a builder and right-clicking on a wall to see if you can force prioritize it, if you can then you just need to reorder your work tab so people are doing the jobs you want them to do.

It clearly states I don't have enough marble blocks, even though I have 1k+.

If I get around to it I'll get a screenshot.

Check to make sure your stone blocks are within the allowed area of the builder, and aren't blocked behind a wall or forbidden door.

As far as building is concerned, it doesn't matter if your materials are in a stockpile zone or not. All the stockpile does is allow you to keep track of your resources using the counter in the top-left, and (in 1.0), determine whether or not a given Bill should be considered "satisfied."

Astasia probably has the right of it: it's either a zoning issue, or something is forbidden.

The only time I have the "dont have enough blocks" issue, is when a pawn has reserved them. Ether for building or for moving.

Check the stonecutter's bench to be sure that all of your raw materials are within its raw material boundaries. (The slider thingie/expanding circle thingie.) Whenever I have a problem like this, its usually:

1) The raw materials out in an area that the current crafting colonist can't get to.
2) The bench has been set up so that the allowe gathering area for raw materials has been significantly reduced by myself, to avoid crafters rambling over the whole map trying to collect materials instead of focusing on what is in a nearby stockpile.

You'll always get a "not enough X material" message if the materials aren't present in a stockpile. Even if those materials are on the map. Your colonists can still use them.

If the blocks are present and not being used, well... not really sure how to help you :|
