Fibrous Mechanites...

So my colonists were just infected with "Fibrous Mechanites", how do I get rid of them? They don't seem to be devealoping an immunity or healing from them, what do I do?

just treat them they go eventually. their counter is invisible.

Any idea how long it takes? A few days, a quadrum, so on and so on?

My pleebs usually get over it within a week or so. Its annoying but doesnt really affect them other than the treatments. Just set them to herbals if you have them and move on.

I dont waste good meds or glitterworld on them for mechs.

Fibrous mechanites are amazing. Just gotta make sure you don't let the pain progress to severe. If I'm lucky enough to get it, I set the particular colonist(s) to doctor care w/ no meds & self-tend if they can. Set their schedule 100% anything(so they dont get exhausted) and you've got a work machine, granted you dont slip up on managing the pain. Smokeleaf also helps.

Dream of the day I have a fibrous mechanite infected bionic super-soldier... But even treating without meds they go away pretty quickly...

Whenever I've had colonists get them, it seems it takes ten treatments to get rid of it.

I recently had 2 colonists get fibrous mechs at the same time. One was a medic. The medic treated himself and the other dude with herbal meds. The doc's disease lasted about 2-3 weeks. The other dude's problem lasted about 4-5 weeks playing on Rough.
