Age of daughter/son older than parent?
How can this be? :D
So many times when I check the age of my starting colonists, the parents are way younger than the offspring.

Right now I have a mother who's 31 and her son is 57.

Happens to me often too, although I have yet to have an age difference that extreme. More than often though, it seems to only be that the mother is only a year or two older than her daughter or son, making the whole thing seem even more weird.

keep in mind that they can be in cryptosleep, so their biological age don't move, just their chronological age

Are we talking biological or chronological age? If it's chronological, that is weird indeed, if it's biological only, the wonders of cryptosleep make it possible, since any character can stop aging for centuries while his children do.

People in this game have 2 ages. Biological and Chronological.
This is often placed as such 17(900) meaning that biologically they are 17 years of age, but chronologically they are 900. This is because of the inclusion of cryogenic freezing technology.

So a parent could have a child at 19, be frozen for 20 years and be a year younger than their child : 19(39).

1. Cryonic Freezing, not Cryogenic Freezing
2. It's not stated anywhere what kind of suspended annimation the Cryptosleep Caskets use.

Fair enough. Just as assumption on my part. And thank you for the correct word for what I was refering to.

It's a common mistake.
Cryonics is freezing people for later resurection.
Cryogenics is a field of study.
