Easy way to stop social fights
Just arrest them, but immediately undraft the arresting colonist. It stops the fight, and colonists don't whine about bein prisoners.

They get a mood debuff for being arrested. So if their mood is low to begin with then arresting them could make them break.

Just draft nearby colonists and set them to fight. Once downed heal them. There is a mod (now outdated) that let you calm down colonists gone mental...

Social fights last for a whopping 2 seconds. I'm not sure how you could arrest them unless you had another pawn right there.

I recently had a social fight where two traders got into a fight. Long story short, one of the traders bit the other in the arm, and tore it off. So... social fights are pretty damn dangerous sometimes.

The faster you stop it, the better.

Yeah there was a post not to long ago asking how it was possible that one pawn bit the others leg off in a social fight lol. It seems a bit far fetched, but so are manhunting squirrels.

If playing on the fastest setting, you'd have to be awfully quick to catch them. Usually I hear two quick bleeps, social fight started, and social fight ended, before I even have a chance to pause.

Just let them fight it out, if both have decent gear, their wounds tend to be not that severe. Most of my flak vested and helm pawns at most make each other bleed w/ the occasional lost toe or fingers. At that point if a good chunk of that leg or arm is gone, i just upgrade it.

If one goes bersek, i got 47 pawns all equiped w/ charge rifles to bring them down though ive rarely got the they go insane. I got loads of recreation and 2 kinds of drugs they can enjoy once in a while.

No, they get a mood debuff if they end up in prison. If you undraft as soon as you grab them, it doesn't.

Traders killing eachother in a social fight is usually because they are walking around with melee weapons, which they then use for most melee fighting. Most social fights between colonists just go as far as some bruising and bleeding.

Berserk is where you need to intervene. This is where the colonist that is going berserk will use their ranged weapon and will actively be shot at by other colonists or turrets until they are arrested.

curently in a custome senario where 99% off all pawns have the bloodlust and brasive traits.
And alot of social fighting is happening, mostly due to insult sprees and stuff.

Bigest thing i can do to stop it is having them all seperated. no contact means no insults, no insults no fighting. simple as that. now running strong with 5 colonist starting with just 1. i had to break up my main researcher and cook who where sharing the same work room. (alsmost daily fights) now they hardly ever fight.

They do mess up eachother prity bad, some have missing fingers and one had an eye bitten out :S but these are easy things to dokter. It becomes much worse when the infections come. especialy the ones on the torso and head. things you cant amputate.

all my pawns have a ranged weapon, for reasons mentioned above. my main defence is a snaking conidor full of traps. The only time my colony come to getter is when a raid it happening. But i just draft them to see the blood fountains for the morale boost.
