Taming wild animals by healing
Does it still work in B19 ? I've been trying to tame a megasloth for some time to no avail, and I haven't managed to befriend any other wild animal through this method since B19 came out.

Also, does anyone know the % chance (or the formula) for befriending a wild animal by healing its wounds ? Since megasloths are very difficult to tame through the normal method, I imagine that healing it would be more effective, but I might be wrong on that.

Sure do, managed to tame a thrumbo that way, but unfortunately... they bled out seconds later.
So not only did I miss out on tame thrumbo, I had to deal with a pawn crying their heart out for forever.

I have tried too, and gotten no where.

Though I would imagine Jaasrr is correct, and it wasnt removed - weve just been unlucky. I am on a desert, so I dont get a ton of chances (tried this method on elephants and thrumbo a handful of times since my handler is still only 12 ish).

What I noticed is that when you down then heal that wild animal, they would rarely if ever leave afterwards when their fully healed. I kept 3 wild thrumbo for around 3 years from leaving while trying to tame them.

The issue becomes how much injury you can inflict to the point where they are down but still got time to heal them up from dying. For thrumbo, you need like a 9-11 hr bleed timer to be able to fully heal them before they expire due to the insane amt of injuries you must inflict then patch up.
