Anyone know of a good way to resolve mod conflicts? For us technically illiterate people?
Like some kind of program that can identify which mods are conflicting? Google came up with "Conflict Checker", but its from a year and a half ago and doesn't look to be updated.
Nothing seems to come up in a mod search here...the new mod manager, from what I can tell, doesn't seem to have that sort of function.
Anyone know of any decent way of identifying conflicts without going through them one by one?

The game should tell you internally - in the mod section it should flag up in red those conflicting (?) - or check the Mod-maker's comments, they'll often inform people which mods conflict (esp. in cases where people are using .dll hooks).

If you're still stumped, go to:

\steamapps\common\RimWorld\RimWorldWin64_Data directory and look for a file called output_log.txt

If you take a few moments to parse through it you'll often spot mods being named (CORE = main game). Ignore the tech language, just look for the names.

Or post bits here, people will recognize the most popular mods.

But, honest answer: it'll probably be >1.0 before the modding community settles on a universal type arrangement.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Is this the old conflict checker you're talking about? Should still be good:

Install (and run) mods a few at a time (anywhere from 1 at a time to batches of like 5 at a time...depending on your level of patience).
If mods work, add some more.
If mods do not work, narrow it down.
One mod that was acting strange on me, I simply removed from my mod list ingame, let the game restart, re-added the mod, let the game restart again, and it worked.
I am using version 19 with alot of mods.

Yep, this is the one, and yeah I suppose it makes sense that it should still work, I've got to figure out where my rimworld exe file is and I'll give it a shot and report back.
Its weird, the only exe I can find is on my desktop, which the program says is invalid, anyone got any idea?
Edit: nevermind, found the exe, it still says "invalid", but the program started up anyway and just spit out a bunch of info, so...looks good to go =]
