Any advantages for choosing the wet bog or cold bog for a base?

Not really. Slows down incoming raiders? Most of the biomes are more about disadvantage rather than advantage. Perma summer arid shrublands are by far the "best" biome in the game in terms of advantages, everything else is scaling up from there in challenge.
