there's a chance that a wanderer joins your colony without recruiting him, someone who is chased by pirates or someone who crash landing on your map "can" (some of them just walk off the map) also join your colony after you fix him up. so you don't really need to start a new game.

Sometimes people run from tribes and come to you for safety. Or you could challenge yourself to play with the people you have.

You have no pawns at all who can do social? That's a bummer. There are various rescue and self-join events that don't need social interaction, how long you'll have to wait for one is up to RNG...

Not an issue, you don't need any social early game. The game will quickly get you up to like 9-12 population through other means, it's only after that point that social and recruiting prisoners becomes a concern.

Just make sure to build a small prison to capture the first raider you down. Even if they have a 99% recruitment chance just keep them prisoner and have a single colonist act as warden and they will raise their social stat pretty quickly by talking/recruiting.

I can't build up warden as it says can never no warden and can never talk to traders, Im restarting... watched some tip vids and feel like I made lots of mistakes.

Well if they can't social at all then you are going to have to wait for a "wanderer join" event, rescue an escape pod survivor and hope they join, or wait for a slave trader to swing by (though you'd better have good amount of silver if you want to buy a decent pawn). You aren't entirely screwed, but you might have to make do with your starting pawns for a while.
