[Mod request for 1.0] Keep bed ownership after travelling.

Probably already a mod for another version. But this is one of my biggest gripes with the game in 1.0. I have a couple married couples who have double beds, and everyone else has single beds. If I send people off, they come back and just take whatever bed, so instead of using the double bed, the married people all use singles cos someone stole their double, which ends up leaving half my colonists pissed and sleeping on the floor as they have no beds.

Can someone fix this, please?

But, beds become unassigned when a Pawn leaves the map to go on a Caravan.

It's not a terrible issue, but it can get aggravating to have to reassin everyone, especially when trying to figure out who's lover is who's and what pawns demand the best rooms, for instance.

PS - For the OP: It's always a good idea to have one extra, regular, bedroom. Also, you should have a Prisoner room where there are Prisoner beds and a Hospital room where you have hopital beds. You can designate any of these beds to be for normal colonist use, in a pinch, so you have a temporary sleeping area for you pawns while you build a bedroom or juggle sleeping arrangements. (I don't know if the advanced Hospital Bed can be toggled, but other normal beds that have been set to Medical or Prisoner can be, so use those in a pinch.)

Any change in this topic? Is there some kind of mod or option how to set the bed for a pawn forever until I will change it?

How to do it without setting an allowed area? I would have 20+ new areas. It is not a good solution. Permanent setting would be great.

The game will retain bed ownership for the people that go on caravan.

BUT.
The moment you manually assign even 1 new bed owner, or even if you get a new recruit that claims a new bed, or you change the bed inventory by adding or deleting beds, the game wipes the slate and forgets about *everyone* that is off-map.

Hmm I guess that's how it works M.K.

I do remember lovers going back to bed together after caravan. I don't think the bed gets reassigned til they decide to sleep. but I remember getting annoyed cause other pawns would still scramble rooms. Maybe the slate got wiped clean like you said idk, but the scrambled rooms happened too often.

Ive had the same problem, and would be interested in a mod that fixes this for myself.
Meanwhile, i've just gotten into the habit of reassigning the beds every time a caravan returns.

"4M Mehni's Misc Modifications mod" at least provides a nice visual guide to who are lovers, on the bed assignment screen.
