Random Unfertilized Chicken Eggs

I keep finding random unfertilized chicken eggs around my map, but I can't find any actual chickens. I have a mod that allows searching, and there are about half a dozen individual eggs or clutches of eggs, but no chickens. Seems odd they would spawn randomly... or get laid by a non-chicken?? There are enough in enough different places, I can't imagine I had a bunch of chickens come lay them and then get eaten - one was even in an enclosed animal pen with no predators and only a couple wild mice and a wild emu.

If you have the mods Animal Logic and Wild Animal Sex, I've had similar things happen to me. Animal Logic has an option to turn all non-fertilized eggs to non-fertilized chicken eggs & Wild Animal Sex allows wild animals to lay eggs, which could be causing this problem.

There's also Genetic Rim which adds an implant that causes humans to lay chicken eggs.

I don't know about laying eggs, but I definitely dropped some logs in my toilet earlier tonight...
