Tile under door
Wondering what do you usually place under the door, the tile of the room/hallway outside or the one from the inside of the room? It always seems to clip a bit

I tend to place bricks in doorways that match the walls. It gives a nice crossover between two rooms with different flooring imo.

It always does, since the default doors' sprites are a bit thinner than the floor tiles.

Personally, I typically use corridor font or some third variant, like 'Paved Tile' for doors to outside areas or bathrooms, or ' Metal Tile' to warehouses/hospitals.

They are a square tile with hard defined edges that look fine on their own under a door.

Same goes for Hygiene - though, these can be made of different materials, meaning you can at least pick one that fits the color scheme.

Or be me and have a tangle of grey cables and grey pipes going everywhere in a chaotic gordian knot-themed modern art installation, works either way.

hygiene is at least adding the option to make pipes invisible in the future

HAHA, a great question one that I often struggle with and ask myself in game. Its great other people struggle with this to.

Ive been going with the room tile under the door, but sometimes it dont feel right, then I go the other way and that dont feel right. Its a constant struggle.

To be honest, I actually enjoy the pragmatic, utility-oriented 'shelter' look the semi-random pipes and wires give the colony. It makes it feel more 'alive', more survivors-ey, so to speak. But yeah, sometimes and in some places. pipes are indeed better be just hidden out of sight.
