What the heck is an AI take over?
What the heck is an AI take over?

I used a mod called prepare carefully to add an AI chip to one of my peeps. Then started a game. He is great. But every now and then.
I get this problem about the AI taking him over. He starts randomly attacking others. I don't see anything on the Rim world wiki about it and the only way to stop him seems to be to take him out. Using this method normally results in killing him. So I normally load my last save and hope that it doesn't happen.

Any ideas of what to do? Is there any more information on this problem? Is it a bug?

Also seems to be the same if I use the AI on him as well.

EPOE
side effect of installing a AI in someone
eventually all AI comes to the logical conclusion that the galaxy is better off without humans and tries to implement the fix
no way of pulling it out sinse its his brain, tho if you can replace it with a neurostimulator it might fix things
but im not sure if neurostimulator is part of EPOE so might just be a permanent risk

Putting computors in people brains does not sound to great I mean it would make things a lot eayer to do but the ai might not be nice. Ok joke done the ai chip is quite strong and gives a lot of great buffs so to counter this every now and then your people will go beserk even if they are super happy they are not always beserk but you will probably get one at least once a week if you have the chip in just one person. It is just the chip doing this sadly I have no idea how to counter this counter and I don't think it can happen so removing it somehow or not using it is best unless you want crazy people controled by ai all around your base. Also some of the buffs the chip gives your people make it so they can handle pain better making it so your are probably going to end up killing them. I am not to sure on the pain thing I don't use the chipcs do to the fact that they cost a lot and turn my people in to tiking time bombs. But the buff are really good.

ok thanks. That's one heck of a trade off. Knowing that you might have to put them down.

Get the tranq mod and break out the non-lethal rifles for situations like this :)

Is it really that good? With "Prepare carefuly" you could give Luciferum effect without luciferum addiction instead.

the trick is to have a "bot box" where the person w/ the ai implant lives. That way, if they break they are contained, and cannot kill people. Just have them live in a little corner of the map in a small box, with their own food supply. let them break, but don't let them kill anyone.
