Colony pause
Just wondering if there is a mod to have multiple colonies, but only have 1 running at a time, i find it stressfull enought running one but would still like to expande.

If not then, perhaps any other mod that could help with this or just some tips lol

They were looking to have the other colony or colonies paused. Which vanilla does not do. Nor any mod I know.

Tips would be set up blueprints or plans ahead of time so you don't have to micromanage more than one area at a time.

This idea would really throw off the planet, as the colonies are situated on the same planet, but pausing one would also pause the time of the colony? I see what you're getting at, but it would mess up the map.

you should try to focus each settlement to a certain function. Not only will this help you distribute colonists but it will also make it easier to decide how to run each. Say one is for research but has ample farm land. Have farmers who are working 24/7. Have researchers working 24/7. The only time you have to go to that settlement is when theres a pop-up quest, a raid, and turrets work well with mortors for most defenses with at least one skilled combat colonist in case of drop pods.

Simplify your extra colonies, make those extra colonies work for you. Maybe all they produce is pemmecin for all your convoys on the world map, maybe they only mine and have them mine the map clean. Simplify. And always, play with a different variety of mods each playthrough where you can.

The way to do it is that once one colony is pretty much automated, then start up your 2nd colony.

Eg, farms, power and backup power, production queues, etc are all available, then go to 2nd colony and repeat everything there again....or most things at least.

As an example, I might not be able to spare true farming or cooking work at the 2nd farm, so I just make some basic crops and use a nutrient paste dispenser. That keeps that colony alive while I build it up, etc
