forbid the said food.
they will get a paste meal if their are no other food sources.
Example build a square building with 4 fields.
Build a roof on the house, and next build the special lamps that can make plants grow.
And then build 2 heaters that you set to example 15 degrees.
Now you can plant and harvest all year.
Note this require allot of power, so it is best that this system have its own batterys and power source.
Also build a building for food.. Place 1 aircondition and select to cool with -5 degrees.
Now you have a refrigiator that can keep your food frozen so it will never spoil.
I recommend you build a power system and batterys that only are used for the cooler so that your base dont take all of your energy so that your freezer always are cold ;-)
So it might be a bug or a problem with a mod.
Everyone would be feeding their icesheet livestock nutrient paste if the process weren't so bloody annoying.
Well spotted. Rimworld punishes those trying to be clever, and rewards those who apply brute force (e.g. it's easier to build a freezer that is 10x bigger than it needs to be than to make cooks slaughter carcasses on demand).
