Just had a tribal raid literally steal my pig. Killed it, then stole "What they could grab" and ran. I've never been so offended and confused in my life.

Watching my lone hunter leg it away from a pack of angry deers, resulting in my peg legged scientist fending them off around a billiards table.

One of my fermale colonists, an ugly looking loner, had to "relax socially" by smoking a joint during her wedding, delaying the whole thing while all the others were waiting. In the end she did get married though.

Mid winter i sent a colonist out to quickly pick up a component, on his way back he was incapacitated. a rescue team of one person ran to him as i observed an equally determined wolf run up to him and ate him. said colonist then decided to nope the ♥♥♥♥ out and retreat.

on this colonists way back they observed several artic foxes eating their own dead.

i think their shock is completly justified.

my most funny moment. colony of 12 where 10 was laying sick. and 2 healty person decidet it was better to fight each other then rather help the sick ones. they did knock each other out. 3min later a small animal bunny i think went crazy and started to attack the base. killed 1 by 1

I started with a mother & son (plus one random colonist) during one game. Before I could get walls setup around my colony, I had a manhunter event and hid all three colonists in the kitchen. We barely had any food in the kitchen as most of the meals were kept in the dining room, a separate building.

The son has a mental break and begins to wander towards the kitchen door. Opening it would've spelt doom for the other two colonists. So I draft them, and try to arrest the son before he could open the door. He goes berzerk, and we end up killing him.

Food runs out while the mad animals still loiter outside, so I get the mother to chop up her son and eat him. It was enough to survive.

It was a earlier version and i was playing as cavemen. There was a heatwave and my people did not have anyway to combat the heat so i begain digging into a mountain 2 try and cool off. one by one my coloinst fell to heat sickness but i had trained my dog well so they were taken to their bed to recover in the coolest part of the map...time goes by and we get attack be raiders. I watch helpless as they started banging on the three door to my little shack cave. Suddenly my three dogs attack one and overwelm him and do this three more time finally the raider group decieds to take what they can and leave...a single potted plant. Soon after this my colonist recover fully after three mounths of being incapatcitated. Best dogs ever!

i forgot to draft my colonists whilst we had a raid and 3 of them went outside whilst theres about 50+ tribes people banging on the door only to clean some blood on the floor, this is why you need to give your colonists something to do whilst a raid is taking place

Damn, I hope they were happy with the potted plant. XD

I had a group of 7 Yorkshire terriers decide to join my colony. Not particularly useful early in the game, but I decided to look on the bright side... If I can't sell them, I can always eat them.

Then Randy declared there will be no bright side today.

Before they could enter the base, a flashstorm popped up and lightning set the dogs on fire. They ran around in a panic and into my base...setting everything and everyone on fire before I could extinguish them.

Now THAT's funny!
I spent over an hour going through hundreds, if not thousands of rerolls to get a fairly solid trio of colonists to start with, because I know what the RNG is capable of. A few months into a desert embark, a wild boomalope standing right next to my night owl melee grower, my only grower, goes mad and attacks him. He fights back and gets set on fire in the middle of the field I'm depending on to keep my colonists alive. They manage, barely, to beat through 5 tiles of fire to get to him, put him out, and get him into bed - weeks later, he finally recovers, goes out to sow the field, and a uranium meteorite lands on him. This game isn't over yet, but it's getting close. Let this be a lesson - milk the colonist creation screen for all it's worth, you need every advantage you can get.

Prepare Carefully mod has the same effect, but much quicker. And you can totally not give yourself an advantage if you choose, just make it quicker. That said, very funny story.
Only funny if you didn't go 5+ years in each of your last two games without getting a single unit of uranium between mining and trading. :/ You know what they say, "When it rains, it pours meteorites on the people keeping your colony alive."
