Save scumming to tame a Thrumbos because said person really wants one.
who has done that? just for the sake of obtaining one of them at the very least through one of their play throughs? im curious.

it's best to just kill them for their horn.
they eat too much food to be worth it.

What was said above. They would eat you out of your home. Especially in a desert or tundra biome.

wow seriously?... well then that would explain why when they appear the blue thing essentially says "kill them or ignore them" and nothing relating to trying to tame them.

well thanks for telling me, i guess im better off just looking at them or killing them, and then looking at a youtube vid with someone who actually has one tamed, and see how bad it really is lmao.

If you want to kill it you'll have to kite it, they are absolute tanks.(ex. Torso: 520/520)
Gettem down to 13hrs. Or less til they bleed out.
Trying to meele a Thrumbo is a death sentence, don't try it.

It can be tanked with decent arrmor, or a herd of moofalo. Anything smaller than moofalo tend to loose limbs or lives often.

If you're going to save scum then you may as well just use debug mode instead to save time.

I had a thrumbo self tame shortly after I started playing the game, years ago, and it was so awful. I turned it into food within a few days.

I once tried to save scum a panther, this was also super early in my Rimworld days, and it just wouldn't happen. It was a 10% chance and I reloaded like 30 times then gave up. The only other time I decided to save scum a tame was more recently while playing with Dinosauria I think it's called, had a t-rex show up on my map, and like a 1% chance to tame it but I was like, "I'll give it a few tries," because it was too dangerous to leave on the map and I didn't think I could kill it. Tamed it first try.

I have, but I enjoy having many many pets for the purpose of having a last defense of melee rushing.

Well... there IS the option of Comboing A Dog Said... and Animal Armor to create an armored bionic War Thrumbo.
