Can't haul hunted animals
I'm on 0 food, I've hauled and butchered animals before. They can be put in my storage space, I have hauling as a number 1 priority, I got a butcher's bench.. whenever I right click the animal I can either consume it raw, or I could bury it..

What am I doing wrong here?

Try right clicking the butcher's bench instead of the animal. Once you right click the butcher's table a message will pop up; "prioritize butchering", click that. I recommend having your best cook butcher since they'll get most of the meat and leather.

Also make sure you have a bill to butcher your animals. Bills can be added when you select the butchering table.

I got the bill and everything, but cheers, I'll try to prioritize through the bench and see if that works!

Either your stockpile doesn't accept fresh animal corpses (doublecheck your sliders and all the filters), or your pawns don't have access to the stockpile (maybe they are restricted in a way that doesn't allow them in that room, or the door is locked, or it was somehow walled off).

Don't be offensed but, did you think to remove the little red cross which not comes everytime, on the animal, to allow the colonists to deal with?

Another possible issue is: full stockpile. If it accepts anything else, like leather, there might be no room left for corpses.

You have to click on what you're wanting to butcher and allow it, chances are it's forbidden.

Heavily recommended to install the following mod:

Prioritize x fridges for 'Animal Corpses', so those cadavers can be hauled always
and waiting -without spoiling- to be butchered when the chef has time.

Then add another x fridges prioritized for 'Meat', so it can wait for when
the chef is going to cook meals that involve meat.

That's generally just my kitchen: the 2 tables and a bunch of fridges walled on a sterile floor.
Then the dinner room next door with x dinner tables, chairs, flower pots, art, tv
and fridges with meals in them (to keep fresh and not spoiling).
I also generally build the leatherworking shop close-by, to keep travel distance light.

Btw, to butcher an animal:
:AirTarget: need a hunter (for wild animals) with a rifle / bow to hunt tagged animal (for the corpse)
otherwise 'allow' any animal corpse that died earlier (from whatever cause)
or tag tame animal for slaughter (requires pawn trained in animals, best with melee)
:AirTarget: free butcher table + bill to allow butchering the corpse (works better with free storage)
:AirTarget: high priority butchering (as it comes after de/construction, animals etc)
