Whle essentially correct, all of these numbers vary based on conditions and activity level. A person in an active survival situation that is trying to accomplish life-saving survival-related goals, like making shelter, traveling to find food/water, recover from wounds/injury, hunting, etc, will have their endurance substantially limited by that. Add adverse conditions and it drops accordingly.
Look for berries. Look for animals that have been recently killed by predators.
It's likely they're going to die. Unless you have a lot of pemmican or have packaged survival meals, your caravan's food supply of regular meals will likely spoil before they reach the colonist. BUT, it's possible that they could reach the tile and set up a camp where they can cook some food before they all starve to death. That "could happen." Unlikely, but possible. If your colonist gathers berries and manages to find some carcasses he can cook, there could be enough food there to sustain both him and the hungry caravan when they get there at least long enough to hunt up some other food for the return journey.
