Soaking Wet

Just wondering what I can do about this Debuff, what are good clothes to craft for it?

No special clothing for this small random mood debuff. No one wants to be outside in the pouring rain...
Soaking Wet rain mechanic is testing your ability to manage colonist moods. Just a little random mood debuff that is no problem if mood is maintained reasonably well.

But if the colony is always on the edge of a break then it will act as a reminder to prioritize mental health a little more.

If the small mood debuff acts as a final straw for certain colonists who are always somewhat unhappy no matter what then restricting them indoors for the downpour may be a good option.

You could always build roofed pathways between buildings to reduce some of the wet, but if you're out hunting and gathering in the rain, that's just tough.
It is however the best time to hunt boomalope and boomrats...!

TTG puts it best. I am sure you are just looking for ways to stave off this debuff, but honestly the best way to stave it off is to counter it. Give your pawns a mood buff that will offset the debuff. Not really the answer your looking for, but /shrug

I moved from Oregon to New Mexico and it's hilarious to me how much people here complain about rain.

avoid shallow water or deeper as well as marshes or exposure to rain.
you cant deal with the soaking wet Debuff in any other way then a roof and some bridges.

Clothes don't do it. Roofing is the only viable solution to soaking wet. Just make walk ways and build a pillar (1x1 wall) every 6-7 tiles in over your stone walkways in order to avoid this debuff.

Step 1: Build a roof
Step 2: Put pawns under the roof
Step 3: Wait for pawns to dry off.

The wet debuff only lasts for an hour or two in-game, just bring your pawns in out of the rain and move on with your life.

From what I experienced, there's only one way - to have pawns under roof during the rain

dont go outside when its raining, also dont cross the rivers, just build a bridge. but im not sure why are you worrying about this debuff so much. its like -3 i think and it doesnt last long

Eh I’m in a Rainforest and it’s raining 24/7 it’s not a major debuff and I have managed. just was curious if there was a counter measure to rain

was wondering about this too. Had all my guys wearing bowler hats like idiots to see if that was it
