Tomb hallways
you should put sarcophug's in all your major hallways. it's an ez way to increase mood because a sarcophagus provides entertainment in the form of letting people visit dead people.

"Lovely base you guys have here!"
"Thanks! We're so very glad you stopped by!"
"What's that?"
"Oh, that's Bob."
"But... It's a sarcophagus."
"Oh, yes. That'because Bob is dead. But, it's very nice, don't you think?"
"Who's that? "Fisk?" And, what about this one? And-"
"Yes, that's Florence. And, here's Brigdon. Over there is Jel. This one is-"
"Well it was nice visiting, but-"
"-Jeri. And, over here is-"
"Yes, yes, very nice. We'll be leaving, now"
"Geraldon. This one is Varly and there's good ol' Ben over there."
"OK, uh, nice. But, we really need to leave. Now. Like, right now. Where's the exit?"
"Exit?"

ah yes looking at sarcophagi always puts me in a good mood

It's not a unique form of entertainment though, it's "meditative" which is the same as going for a walk or meditating in their room.

yeah, but now they can do it in 75 different places without leaving the base.

I normally just make a death pit. Find some random building or cave and store all the rotting bodies there to burn later. Really cleans the map of all those random animals killed by other animals who never eat what they hunt.

I'm willing to bet most colonists aren't going to stroll over to the death pit for a nice, meditative break o.o' .

It works. No random dead animals on the ground, no need to constantly dig graves wasting land/space/time for every raid/crash land, just dump them all in a pit! Once full, burn it to start over if you haven't already moved on to the next area by then.

I think I might be slightly evil. Mass graves, letting the wounded simply bleed out after stripping them, saying I'll offer safety to refugees only to force them to wait for death and be kidnapped if I don't like their stats, and worse if I need to beef up a doctor fast.

You can fill a room with shelves and stuff them with corpses for a nice mental break free relaxation chamber.

For some reason Lenord Cohen's "Who by fire" tends to spring to my mind more than once during a playthrough of Rimworld. Moreso than Hotel California....Who'll be burned by fire this time...Who'll OD on flake this time....Who'll die "by brave ascend" during a raid and who will die by accident.
Funny how we'll probably all have songs that relate to our Rimworld venture ;)

For me it depends on the run I'm doing.

Puddle of Mudd - "She ****ing Hates Me"
Rock Master Scott and the Dynamic Three - "The Roof is on Fire"
Voltaire - "When You're Evil"
Killradio - "Scavenger"
Men At Work - "Down Under"
Killing Joke - "The Death & Resurrection Show"

Just to mention a few.

You could use your sarcophagi to replace sandbags in your defensive areas. They are a little less cover and weaker in terms of HP, but it might serve to remind your colonists of the stakes when fighting off raiders.

I've been known to bury dead raiders in large cemetery areas right outside my base so raiders have to step over all those that have tried and failed to do what they are currently attempting. It removes cover and I believe it gets in their heads a bit.
