Pawns standing still
I'm playing heavily modded and I've noticed sometimes my pawns will just stand still not doing anything and their action just shows up blank. Game slows down a lot during this. When I draft the standing pawns, game speeds up to the normal speed again but when I undraft pawns continue standing and game slows down.

Also weirdly, I can't order pawns to do certain jobs during this. They won't work on cremation but will pick up items for example.

Are you using Psychology? I had almost verbatim this exact issue while using Psychology. If you do, next time it happens, check the pawn that stands around to see if they have the thought "Panic Attack". If this turns out to be your issue, the author of Psychology recommended using dev tools to remove the hediff "Anxiety" from any pawns that have it.

When this happens, open your log to see if you something is producing errors. Usually, you will find they are attempting to do something that conflicts with something else or something is being referenced that doesn't actually exist.

I am but I don't think this is the case. When I draft one of the frozen pawns another one gets frozen instead and when I draft that one another and so on. I think it has something to do with jobs from one of the mods.

This is the debug log. Last entries are where the error starts. Looks like there is a clash between Vampires, While you are up and Prison labor. I will try to remove While you are up and see if it still keeps happening.

I haven't looked at the github log, but I'm almost 100% certain I know what the bug is. You've got a pawn repeatedly trying to start tasks ([name] tried to start 10 jobs in 1 tick) that it can't do. This is fairly common in all my loadouts as a one-off, though some mod conflicts will basically break the game by freezing the affected pawn (as yours is) until it's tasked with something else.

The main potential culprits I'd look at are hauling mods or ones that add non-vanilla tasks. If you read through the stack at the bottom of the debug menu error screen, you will in some cases be able to identify the mod causing the conflict by name, if the resource causing the conflict includes it in its text.

It might be something different causing it, but usually "standing" in the pawn window + game slowing down severely means something's stuck trying to do something it's not able to, and the job start spam is chewing up processing power the game's other functions need to work smoothly.

I'm past the time when the bug starts in my game. Seems like removing While You Are Up did the trick. Thanks for the help.

I had that issue quiet often now. After looking into the debug menu it said that all my pawns tried to reload my turrets 10 times a tick, thats why the game slowed down like that, deleting and rebuilding the turrets helped (Im using CE thats why the turrets need reloading). It was the ChargeRailgunTurret from VFE-Security specifically that caused the issue for me.

I JUST figured mine out. I had him set to a 1 for fishing with no fishing available due to winter (I guess that's why the fishing spots or traps aren't working) and when I changed the work priority from a 1 he started moving normally!
