Fluffy's Work Tab breaks out all of the subcategories for each work type so you can assign priorities for every little thing if you choose. With that mod installed, you can just turn off delivering meals for wardens and doctors altogether.
Just set a single square meal stockpile in the prisoner room, with appropriate mealtype restrictions. Let your haulers haul there as/when needed.
This only usea *hauler* time, rather than warden or doctor time which is much more valuable.
Also, the meals will tend to get hauled in stacks or partial stacks, instead of one. meal. at. a. time.
If you're not mod averse, I would definitely recommend it. It allows for a ton of nice ways to manage your pawns in addition to directly solving the issue you are having.
MK, in a prison themed game, its a common problem that wardens will deliver meals to pawns, and the OP was asking if there's a way to make them stop doing that and just eat the crappy food he leaves out for them.
Edit: I do a prisoner compound that has a np dispenser with unlocked cells (locks mod). Prisoners take care of them self's.
