Beds: Materials Stat 'Rest Effectiveness'
So not sure how up-to-date https://rimworldwiki.com/wiki/Materials is but for the longest time when I made beds I just made them out of wood and tried to get all my beds to 'good' or 'excellent' quality level. Recently I played a desert map where I made all of my furniture out of stone or steel (because there were not a whole lot of trees). But then I remembered that some materials are more comfortable to sleep on than others. Oddly jade and steel don't have their 'rest effectiveness' stat listed on that website I previously mentioned.
Wood: x1
Gold: x1
Plasteel: (lolz) x1
Silver: x1
Steel:
Uranium: x1
Granite: x0.9
Limestone: x0.9
Marble: x0.9
Sandstone: x0.9
Slate: x0.9
Jade:

So that being said, if you want to maximize the rest effectiveness of your beds, is it as simple as avoiding using stone as a building material for your beds?
Anybody by any chance know what the rest effectiveness stats for steel and jade are?
Also does the royal double bed improve rest effectiveness further, or just the impressiveness of the room it's in?

*What's your favourite bed material?

Many thanks

Steel and Jade are both 1x. As far as I know stone is the only outlier. Apparently sleeping on a bed made of solid uranium is comfortable. Which is sort of relevant because Uranium beds are the only normal effectiveness beds that are completely fireproof, so technically Uranium is the best material for beds.

You experience may vary when it comes to modded materials.

Royal beds have a higher base rate of 105% before material and quality adjustments. So a normal stone royal bed will be around 94% or so.

In practical terms, make beds out of whatever you have a lot of that isn't stone. In most places that will be wood, on mountain maps it might be easier to go with steel. I make them out of jade if I wand something nice, I don't see anything else ever being worth it.

Unless you're playing dwarves,,, then only solid granite will do.

Try a luciferium using quick sleeper with a bionic stomach , sleeping on a legendary royal wooden bed.

He can *literally* manage on just 3 hours sleep per day. But you have to split that as two sessions each day, as the gap between waking and bedtime is too long!
