"Fur" Hats?! Seriously?!
I set up a build order for "Fur" hats because I got a caravan request that looked like a good deal, and I have plenty of animal skins available, but can't get anyone to craft the "Fur" hats as the game complains about "not having any material", so I open up the item for more details and what do I find out? The "Fur" hats don't use any furs, just normal cloth! Why are they called "Fur" hats if they're really cloth hats? I'd expect "Fur" hats to take fur as at least part of their materials, or at least be an option. This item makes no sense at all!

You'd probably be better served posting on the Workshop page of whatever mod you're using that adds Fur Hats: because those aren't a vanilla item. In vanilla, your options for tailored headgear are Tuques (for cold weather), Cowboy Hats (for hot weather) and Bowler Hats (for increased social skill). Of these, only Tuques require textiles: the other two can be made from leathers.

If you absolutely, positively want to find out what mod an item is from, you can activate THIS mod and look at the item description. During your game's start-up, it adds a little tag to the end of every item description that tells you what mod it's from. It adds a bit of loading time, but it can be added/removed at will.

Tribal apparel (what is a good mod) contains Fur hats. But its can be made not only from cloth.
Deactivate the mod if you dislike it.

I've been running with mods for so long I don't always remember what's vanilla and what's added by mods. I'll try out that mod and see what's adding the fur hats so I can discuss that with the mod's developer.
