tv in prisoner room pointless?

i often capture prisoners and at times have 10-15 in my prison room. so i thought i'd give them some amenities. like a megascreen tv (to cover the beds where they recover) a chess table, some horseshoe pins and a tube tv so they can watch if they are out of bed.

so i'm not constantly zoomed in to the prison but i've checked in from time to time if there are prisoners inside and NEVER in over 190 rim-years have they used any of those items.


am i just wasting my resources trying to make their stay more enjoyable? will or even can they use these things while imprisoned?

I think it only makes a difference to the overall room enjoyment (beauty, size, opulence, etc.) as I cant recall prisoners using recreation (check their tabs, if there is no recreation scale then they don't need it). However i have a couple of different radios from a mod and these cause a small mood buff to all even prisoners i think if you want to cheer em up a bit.

yeah so i could instead just put in some art to make the room better and it would have the same effect..

These 2.
Prisoners dont have recreation stat, so recreation items are useless.
But overall room beauty effect their mood, so some art is a good choice.
